High Speed Communication

SCS is very familiar with requirements and solutions when it comes to high-speed communication systems, not least because of our long experience in the world of supercomputers. Beyond that, our expertise covers every layer of communication systems, be it hardware design for high-speed serial links or the efficient implementation of protocol layers in software and in FPGA firmware.

We routinely employ standard protocols like Gigabit-Ethernet, 10Gigabit-Ethernet, CameraLink or PCI-Express. For more specialised requirements, such as time synchronisation, latency or transfer failure security, designing a bespoke protocol can be the most cost-effective solution.

  • What Does “Investing in Integrity” Mean on the Career Path? High Speed CommunicationProf. Jane Royston led us through various personal career situations and inflection points. She focused on how it is to work as a woman in a male-dominated field such as engineering or technology. • Combat climate change with gamification High Speed CommunicationClimate change and its impact will affect us all in the future. A few years’ ago, we organized Eco-lunches at our offices. During these lunches, we discussed the idea of combating climate change with an element from gamification. This is why we are glad that this year, myblueplanet.ch launches the myblueplanet coach app that allows challenges ...
