High Speed Communication

SCS is very familiar with requirements and solutions when it comes to high-speed communication systems, not least because of our long experience in the world of supercomputers. Beyond that, our expertise covers every layer of communication systems, be it hardware design for high-speed serial links or the efficient implementation of protocol layers in software and in FPGA firmware.

We routinely employ standard protocols like Gigabit-Ethernet, 10Gigabit-Ethernet, CameraLink or PCI-Express. For more specialised requirements, such as time synchronisation, latency or transfer failure security, designing a bespoke protocol can be the most cost-effective solution.
