But air is not nothing. It took a lot of 'puffing' for MBV to bring the latest generation of smart, microbiological air samplers to market. Using their latest product as an example, MBV gives an insight into the process of developing a series product for the pharmaceutical market. In addition to the industrial design of the housing, special attention is given to the redesign and simplification of the user interface. Other success factors in this project were a broad technological know-how in embedded computing, connectivity, fluidics and UX design. Equally important were deep market understanding, good coordination between development, production and marketing. But also courage, mutual trust and a lot of communication were match deciding.
