The computer industry is driven by the mass market. Widely deployable standard components offer an unequalled cost-performance ratio. Tailor-made solutions targeting small markets are exposed to increasing pressure and are disappearing. Since Clayton M. Christensen's book 'The Innovator's Dilemma', this process has been termed 'disruptive innovation'. To achieve such technological leaps, leading American computer manufacturers have placed their trust in SCS.
