Interrogations, examinations, and court hearings must be documented. Manual logging is time-consuming and delays the completion of the record. At the same time, these conversations contain highly confidential information subject to special data protection and IT security requirements. Therefore, a solution is needed that accelerates logging and processes sensitive data within the organization’s own infrastructure.

SCS developed SCS Evida, a local transcription solution that converts conversations into text in real-time and makes the record editable even during recording.

Logged in Real-Time

While the conversation is ongoing, what is said is transcribed and can be immediately edited, annotated, and corrected. This significantly reduces the effort and time required to produce the final record.

Multilingual with Speaker Recognition

SCS Evida processes multi-channel audio and video and recognizes different speakers. Numerous languages are supported and can be translated directly if needed.

Data Remains Within the Organization

SCS Evida runs on an on-site device or within the local IT infrastructure. Audio, video, and transcripts therefore do not need to be transferred to an external cloud service for processing.

Traceable and Shareable

An audit log makes changes to the record traceable. For sharing, transcripts can be exported or provided together with audio and video in a read-only viewer. Clicking on a text passage jumps directly to the corresponding point in the recording.

Result

SCS Evida supports authorities in logging and post-processing interrogations, hearings, and examinations already during the conversation. This reduces the manual effort required to produce the final record. At the same time, sensitive conversation data remains within the organization’s own infrastructure, and all changes to the transcript are traceable. The solution is tailored to the requirements of Swiss authorities in the judicial and police sectors and is continuously being developed.
