In the liberalized electricity market, many industry players exchange measurement data and handle switching processes, such as when an end customer changes suppliers. Previously, these procedures were carried out as costly bilateral processes between individual market partners. Without a central hub, market partners must maintain numerous direct connections and processes with one another. As the number of participants grows, the effort and complexity of market communication increase accordingly.
The Contribution of SCS
SCS developed a central data hub for Swisseldex AG based on the SDAT industry standard. The platform handles switching processes, measurement data routing, and the central management of metering points.
Result
With the SDAT Data Hub, Swisseldex has a central platform for the standardized exchange of measurement data and the automated handling of switching processes. Market partners no longer require numerous direct connections with each other, while the central metering point register enables the automation of additional processes. SCS is responsible for the development, cloud operations, and support of the platform and provides a 24/7 on-call service. The architecture is flexibly expandable and designed for additional data hub applications.
